Do you fly Delta Airlines often? Do you have a redemption in mind where you need Delta SkyMiles? Or do you live in a Delta hub and want to get more award flights? Whatever the reason, there are simple ways to earn Delta SkyMiles – without signing up for a credit card. We live in a Southwest hub, and don’t fly Delta – but with easy-to-do tricks, I’ve accumulated Delta SkyMiles effortlessly!
Instacart
Instacart grocery delivery service is a lifesaver for us! As a busy family, always on the go (y’all know how it is) – we use this very regularly. Last fall, Delta teamed up with Instacart to offer ways to earn miles when customers link their SkyMiles and Instacart accounts. Through my Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, we already get free delivery (hey now ;)). Under “credit and promos,” in your Instacart account, you’ll be able to see that your accounts are linked and how many miles you’ve earned.
Starbucks
I spend more money on coffee here than I should – but atleast when I do, I’m earning Delta SkyMiles. Earn 1 Delta Skymile for every $1 spent at Starbucks – you can link your accounts here.
Shopping Portal
Delta has an airline shopping portal – SkyMiles Shopping. It’s another way to earn SkyMiles on (online) purchases you may already be doing. Shop at the stores you know and love – just make sure you do it through the airline’s shopping portal so you can earn SkyMiles.
Lyft
You can earn Delta SkyMiles by linking your two accounts and earn 1 mile per $1 on Lyft rides in the U.S.
Airbnb
Earn 1 mile per $1 spent with Airbnb on qualifying stays worldwide. There’s no minimum spend, but you can’t request SkyMiles after you’ve already booked an Airbnb (speaking from experience). Enter your SkyMiles account number here, and then start your Airbnb search so you don’t miss out on those miles.
Hertz
SkyMiles Members can earn up to 8x miles per $1 spent by booking cars with Delta. We book car rentals from time to time, and because my husband receives complimentary Hertz President’s Circle status from his Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card – we aim to book with this rental car company. I’d definitely recommend comparing all your rental car options at the time of booking, and make sure you’re getting the best rate – especially if this is an out-of-pocket cost. I haven’t booked with Delta before, but I’ll definitely keep this in mind for upcoming summer trips where we’ll be needing to rent a car.
Well there you go – simple ways to earn Delta SkyMiles from purchases you may already be doing! Take a few seconds to connect your Delta SkyMiles account to these businesses, so you don’t have to think twice in the future 😉
