Credit card welcome bonus offers are the fastest and easiest way to earn a good chunk of points from your regular, everyday spend. Strategic signups, especially when life happens, can be a great time to make sure you have a new card in hand before paying for that unexpected bill or purchase. Even on the regular, I aim to always be working on a signup bonus or I’m using one or both of my favorite daily drivers – Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card.
Let’s first take a look at some currently elevated offers:
Chase Co-Branded Hotel Cards: Hyatt
It’s no secret that World of Hyatt is my favorite hotel loyalty program. I’m not one to chase hotel status, but I will say – loyalty to a brand does serve you further. While I currently hold Globalist status, even without the highest tier status – this brand serves families well.
Chase Co-Branded Hotel Cards: IHG
IHG has a larger global footprint, especially with properties that can sleep 4+ per room. IHG cardholders get the fourth night free on award stays which can be a great perk to take advantage of!
Marriott Bonvoy
Keep in mind Marriott has co-branded cards with both Chase and American Express. Rules surrounding eligiblity can be a bit more complicated, but generally speaking, if its been more than 24 months since you opened a Marriott card, you should be good. If you have one of these elevated offer cards and want to reapply, I suggest closing it and waiting atleast 30 days before reapplying.
My Favorite Card Combination
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is my go-to for those times I’m in in between card signups. This is a great card to start with in award travel, because for the $95 annual fee you get a good package of perks and benefits. The current welcome offer is for 60,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 in the first 3 months from account opening. This one is a keeper for me (until I’m re-eligible), because you do need a Sapphire product to transfer points to airline and hotel travel partners. My favorite way to use my Chase points is to transfer them to World of Hyatt to book $0 stays!
Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is my other go-to. (We actually split our automated expenses between these two cards.) It has premium-level benefits like unlimited lounge access to three different lounge programs (Capital One, Priority Pass, & Plaza Premium), $300 annual travel credit, 10k-mile anniversary bonus, no foreign transaction fees, and built-in travel protections – just to name a few. The offer is currently the standard offer for 75,000 miles after spending $4,000 in the first 3 months. One of my favorite ways to use these miles is to cover car rental expenses, train tickets (as applicable), and/or hotel stays for when I’m not staying at a Hyatt property (because there are none available in that city!).
Another option to consider: Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card
This card can be a great “starter” card too, and a good stepping stone into the Capital One family of cards. And the current offer comes with $250 to use on Capital One Travel +75,000 miles! Not to mention, it has a lower annual fee ($95). One great thing about Capital One cards – it’s a straightforward 2x back on all purchases!
This card also comes with (up to) $120 Global Entry (which includes TSA Pre)
And yes, unlike the Chase Sapphire® family of cards, you can hold both Capital One Venture cards! Do keep in mind that you can only receive the welcome bonus on each card, every 48 months. As of January 1, 2025, the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card no longer offers two free lounge visits per year; you can access Capital One lounges for a fee of $45/person.
Another Flexible Points Bank Card Option: Citi Strata Premier℠ Card
This card isn’t talked about enough. My husband and I each held this card a few years back when it was branded as the Citi Premier Card. The current offer is 75,000 bonus ThankYou® Points after spending $4,000 in the first 3 months after account opening. There’s a $100 annual hotel when you book your hotel stay of $500 or more through the bank’s travel portal. (Benefit is applied at the time of booking.) You can check out Citi travel partners, benefits and perks, and more information on the card here.
Chase Ink Business Cards
The Ink Business suite of cards is honestly my favorite when it comes to business cards, simple because two cards don’t even have annual fees! Business cards don’t count towards your 5/24 status, but remember, you do need to be under (so at 4/24 or less) in order to get approved for one. And don’t forget, you can refer a spouse or partner, or any loved one, and earn referral points on top of the card’s bonus offer. Here are the best options:
Yes, the first two are marketed as cash back cards. But you can combine points earned with other cards that earn Ultimate Rewards (for example, the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Sapphire Reserve®).
Southwest Airlines Credit Cards
You may be working on earning a Companion Pass (or two) for the 2025 – 2026 season. As a reminder, you need 135,000 Rapid Rewards points in one calendar year. Once earned, you will have this pass for the rest of the year you earned it in, plus the following year. It’s ideal to earn it earlier in the year so you can hold it for the longest amount of time possible.
There’s currently a limited-time promotion on the personal cards where you can earn a Companion Pass + 30,000 points after spending $4,000 in the first 3 months. This is great as you can earn a Companion Pass, with just ONE card! Note that the Companion Pass would be good through 2/28/2026; this offer ends 3/31/2025.

Alaska Airlines Card Offer
The Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card has a limited-time elevated offer of 70,000 Bonus Miles + Alaska’s Famous Compare Fare™ ($99 fare + taxes and fees from $23). Spend $3,000 in the first 90 days; the annual fee is $95.
Delta Airlines Co-Branded Card Offers
There’s elevated offers on all personal & business co-branded Delta Airlines cards. All offers end 4/2/2025.
American Airlines Co-Branded Card Offer
The 75K offer on this co-branded card offer is back:
*This is not an affiliate offer. Just a reminder that the best offers will always be shared even if no commission will be earned.*
We know that American Airlines miles are harder to earn, with American Airlines co-branded credit cards being the best, and easiest way to earn a large chunk of AAdvantage miles.
Remember, co-branded airline or hotel cards will earn only airline miles or hotel points, so those miles/points will stay with the respective airline or hotel loyalty program.
